KIDS' LIBRARY GOES FILMWINTER KIDS 2003

Children will again play an active part at this year's festival. A jury of kids will compile a selection of ten international short films for kids and present the program at the festival. In addition, the Filmwinter kids will create their own festival trailer during a Super 8 workshop, at the beginning of December. During the Warm-up, kids will have the possibility to look behind the festival's scenes. During the showing over the exhibition, they will have the opportunity to sound out artists and program directors. They then will present the results of their visit on an internet site. Therewith they will learn how to work with scanners, graphic programs and web editors, but also how to make reports with pictures, text and layouts. The final event will be held on 19 January, 11 a.m. at the Filmhaus. It starts with a free brunch for the whole family, followed by the presentation of the website and the self-made Super 8 trailer, just before the short film presentation starts. The program and workshops are for kids between 8 and 14.
