"1939" sehe ich als zweiten Widerstand meiner geplanten Trilogie mit dem (Arbeits-) Titel Auf der Suche nach dem Widerstand. Diese Reihe von experimentellen Kurzfilmen, in welchen ich mich mittels der künstlerischen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten des Mediums Film mit dem Zeitraum 1938-45 der österreichischen Geschichte auseinandersetze, wurde 1991 mit dem 3-minütigen Kurzfilm "heldenplatz, 12. märz 1988" begonnen.

Rosenberger uses found amateur footage from 1939 as a protest against the indifference of its own positivist point of view. The original film was made by a man in which, sandwiched between cosy scenes of his wife and baby on a sailing holiday, he filmed a passing street parade with Hitler, uniforms and Nazi salutes. Retaining its original sequence the stark, jarring aesthetic of Rosenberger`s reworking evinces his indignation at the amateur filmmaker`s sytax and its heartless sentimentality.

In Crossover 2 versuchen wir die Darstellung einer Synthese von gegensätzlichen Positionen (männlich - weiblich).Zur filmischen Umsetzung diese Themas diente uns Positiv-, Negativ- und Solarisationsentwicklung des Ausgangsmaterials.

In Crossover 2 we try the presentation of a sythesis of contrary positions (male - female). for the filmic realization of this theme we used the positive-, negative- and solarisationdeveloping of the source material.

Dandy ist ein Teil der Fortsetzung von Skodt Jensens "Flƒneur", welche auf Italo Calvinos Roman "Die unsichtbaren Städte" basiert. Wie in diesem Buch, wird die Reise als eine Metapher für die Rastlosigkeit und Suche des Menschen benutzt und, ebenfalls wie im Buch, ist die Sprache des Videos fragmentarisch und somit im Einklang mit ihrer Quelle.

Dandy is in continuation of Skodt Jensen`s "Flƒneur", which was based on Italo Calvino`s The Invisible Cities. as the latter, the journey is used as a metaphor for man`s restlessness and seeking, and as in the latter, the video language is fragmented and thus in harmony with its source.

Der Film ist ein nicht traditioneller Dokumentarfilm, eine Meditation in neun unterschiedlichen Segmenten über die Arbeit und die Sehnsüchte der Kellner-Künstler die bei der herausragenden Catering-Firma "Glorious Food" in New York angestellt sind. Er gewährt auf poetische Weise Einsicht in das künstlerische Wirken, das Streben und den Humor einer wirklich einzigartigen Firma und der Menschen die sie am Laufen halten.

The film is a non-traditional documentary; a meditation in nine distinct segments of the work and desires of the waiter/artists employeed by New York City`s preeminent catering company Glorious Food. It takes a visually poetic look at the artistry, struggles, and humor of a truly unique company and the people that make it run.
